Politicians and Neshoba County in the summer go together like ketchup on a corndog. State and national politicians gathered for the yearly speech giving and interviews. During his visit to Neshoba, Phillip Gunn once again failed to make it unclear that he will NOT primary Tate Reeves. Meanwhile, Governor Reeves encourage Mississippians to get vaccinated but will decline a mask mandate. He also proposed another teacher pay raise.

In other Mississippi news this week, Cindy Hyde-Smith and Roger Wicker DID NOT vote for the socialist infrastructure bill. Senator Cindy also sponsored a bill to allow for a CDC audit. Speaking of the CDC, The Natchez-Adams School District is considering requiring all its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to work in the district next year.
